Please find below the extract of the meeting at Pune on 6th September, 2008.

Decisions taken in the First Meeting for Flood Relief @ Pune:
Each community members will work as Co-ordinators. The formation of the community is based on the assumption that members are busy in their livelihood or studies but willing to mitigate miseries of victims in the state of Bihar . Their core responsibilities of coordinators will be following:
1. Promote corporate, working executives and students to come forward donate for the flood affected people.
2. To collect resources from the donors and ensure delivery to the right people in right time.
3. Identified Health is the immediate sector for focus.
4. Focused and defined objective will help this community to effectively achieve the objective which in turn inculcates confidence among donors.
5. High level of transparency will be maintained in dealing with cash or kind.
6. Resources will be generated in phases.
7. Objective of first phase would be to collect selected medicine which may prevent water borne diseases due to unhygienic drinking water and also to test the delivery system. The options for the first phase could be following:
1. Providing supplementary nutritional feed for children, pregnant mothers and lactating mothers. The cost will come around to Rs. 15-17 per persons. It is expected that the support is for minimum 500 persons for next two months at least and its multiples.
2. Providing water purification tablets (i.e., halogen tablets), the minimum intake be around 1000 tablets per day and its multiples for next 5 months.
3. Providing ORS pouches. Any quantity which you consider you all can provide.
4. Cleaning of hand pumps and other drinking water sources.
