chairman's message on BB 4th anniversary: Oct 4, 2008

Dear Friends,

Greetings to All!


Today BiharBrains has completed its four years since its inception on Oct 4, 2004 on yahoo. On behalf of the society, I heartily congratulate all our global members, associates and well wishers on this occasion.

During this year, we performed well. I am summarizing all events and programs that took place during this period. This will give us input to assess ourselves and May also help in planning for the next year in the more energetic manner.



1. Finalized Hindi Letter for all MPs of Bihar for demand of IISER in Bihar: Oct 2008

2. Join hands with Bihar Foundation UK: Nov 8,2007

3. Bid to reopen British Library at Patna: Nov 8,2007 . We submitted our project report to Bihar Foundation for reopening British Library at Patna . Recently, a team of Bihar Foundation led by Dr. Murali Sinha met MPs of British Parliament and few officers of British council . I do hope British council will again start its British Library at Patna.

4. Put BB stall in Patna Book fair: Dec 7-18, 2007

5. BACA became our one of the associate: Dec 2007

6. Supported Scientific Foresight, 2007(as organizing partner): Dec 22-24, 2007

7. Organized Sweden India Scientist Interaction Program at PMCH,Patna in association with DST,Govt of Bihar and PMCH, Patna On Jan 17,2008

8. Organized first Bihar Science Conference in association with Patna Univ: May 7-9, 2008

9. Formed global scientific council: During conference

10. Invited four students of college of commerce to Korea in Konkuk univ for one month orientation program: June 2008

11. Helped NIT for VLSI summer training program at NIT,Patna : June 18-19,2008

12. Draft for Global Scientific Council Finalised : Sept 21,2008

13. Signed MOU with Digital footprints for starting “Center for personality development and human resource at BB office, Patna. Center will start from Dec 2008

14. Recently announced Second Bihar Science Conference at Patna which is being hosted by Magadh Univ at its PG center of college of commerce, Patna on Jan30-Feb 1, 2008

15. Organized many group meetings at different chapters in India and abroad

16. Sugriv Yojna and Kartik Yojna under BB Needy Talent Search scheme are going to be started from today under which 48 poor but talented students of the village sohagara in Motihari Dist are being given scholarship of Rs 100/- per month from today. This is sponsored by Sri Sugriv Barnwal and Dr. Kartik Sahay. Sri Sugriv Barnwal is , CEO of pioneersystems.inc USA and President of BAJANA (Bihar and Jharkhand Association of North America). He is also founder member of Bihar Brains. Dr. Kartik Sahay is Vice President of ACIPHARAM.inc USA and also founder member of BiharBrains associated with many activities including steering committee.

In nutshell, we are taking maximum effort for bringing education and scientific research environment in the state on track by doing these activities.
However this will not be possible without your valuable guidance and support.

I do request you to give us your input and suggestions to more or improve the performance of the society.
